VRT seeks to fill two open positions on the Regional Coordination Council

The two open positions would represent older adults and transportation integration on the panel.

The Regional Coordination Council is a standing committee of the Valley Regional Transit Board. The RCC was developed to provide a forum for transportation and human service providers to share information and to collaborate on mobility issues.

Applications will be accepted until Friday, August 18, 2017.


Harvest Transit offers free transportation services in Meridian

Harvest Transit is a partnership between Valley Regional Transit, the city of Meridian and the Harvest Church. Meridian Mayor de Weerd (photo left) hands the keys to one of two new Harvest Transit vehicles to Pastor Mark Bryan.Harvest Transit has two vehicles (photo left) that can accommodate persons using mobility devices such as wheelchairs. About Valley Regional Transit

Valley Regional Transit (VRT) is the regional public transportation authority for Ada and Canyon counties in southwest Idaho. Its main responsibilities are the delivery of safe, effective and efficient services, coordination of regional providers and services and to encourage the private sector in service delivery.

VRT owns the public bus system that provides service in Boise, Garden City, Nampa, Caldwell and inter county service between Ada County and Canyon County. All of these bus services are operated under the ValleyRide name.
