We welcome James Cooper as our 16th Travel Information Volunteer (TIV). James has been riding the ValleyRide bus system for more than 20 years and loves helping people (especially newcomers and seniors) learn how to use our system. He also works as a private tutor at Boise State University.

Travel Information Volunteers help riders understand and navigate the ValleyRide bus system. You can identify them by the purple vests that they wear while riding the buses.

You may want to consider becoming a Travel information Volunteer. If you know our transit system and and would enjoy helping others find their way, then we want you. As a bonus, TIVs ride the transit system for free.

TIV applicants must have been riding ValleyRide buses for at least two years; pass a felony background check and basic routing test and have a valid email address. For more information or to apply, call RideLine customer service at 345-RIDE (7433) or Ken Schick, Travel Trainer, at 208-559-1888, or kschick@valleyregionaltransit.org.
