Your input is needed for proposed fare increases

Valley Regional Transit (VRT) is seeking final public comment on proposed fare increases.

The objective of the fare increases is to have fares cover most of the cost of services consumed. The last fare increase in Ada County was in 2003. In Canyon County, the last fare increase was in 2008.

VRT has scheduled two open houses/public hearings to collect comment:

  • Tuesday, July 23, Nampa Public Library, Conference Room B. The open house is from 5-6:30 p.m. and the public hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m.
  • Wednesday, July 24, Collister Branch of the Boise Library, Sycamore Community Room. The open house is from 5-6:30 p.m. and the public hearing will begin at 6:30 p.m.

More details about the proposed fare policy changes can be viewed at:
www.valleyregionaltransit.org/projects-plans/fare-changes/. If you cannot attend the open houses/public hearings, you can still provide comment via an online comment form or by sending comments to info@valleyregionaltransit.org. The deadline for providing comment is Thursday, July 24.
